The unfortunate, despicable and gangster-like  leadership gaffe exhibited by the Governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodimma and Senator Rochas Okorocha, yesterday, over a yet to be certified white paper on  Rochas Okorocha's tenure, as  governor of Imo state, shall unfortunately, be the albatross of numerous developmental stunts and also incubating field for miscreants and political buccaneers, to aflame an already tensed situation, that pervade IMO state.   It should be stated however, that this sad development, is capable of deepening the already exacerbated anxiety amongst the  good people of Imo state who have lost hope on the essence of democratic governance, as a result of very strange happenstances, that have eclipsed their political terrain, lately.

This latest  irresponsible and reprehensible antics of these two state actors, who have chosen to consummate their unwholesome and naked dances, in the public domain, albeit, at the very detrimental expense and deprivations of the vulnerable Imolites, has stoked the stake, for political vagaries  and abysmalism, should buon senso, fail to prevail.

Imo state, is currently and unfortunately too, at the epicenter of a federal government declared hostility, which has reduced ORLU znd its environ to a theater of war by the Nigeria military, on a presumptuous and untenable  excuse of routing out members of the  Eastern Security Network (ESN), who has vowed to rid the region of the recalcitrant and murderous herdsmen tormenting,killing, maiming and raping  innocent south easterners. The ESN commendably are working to stop the nefarious and annihilative mission of the killer herdsmen. Therefore, this macabre and bizarre exhibition of  thurgery  and brutish display  by Governor  Hope Uzodinma and  Senator Rochas Okorocha, is nothing but the height of irresponsibility, at a time, Imolites require compassion, empathy and understanding, especially, our compatriots in ORLU and its environs, engulfed in a brazen and trumped up military entanglement.

In the past 24hours, IMO state, has been, a theater of an unprecedented ego trippings, by the two state actors, who have chosen, to exhibit, the irrudicible  & crucibility of bad leadership, as good LEADERSHIP, is  only inherent  in, *CIVIC MINDEDNESS, *STRATEGIC THINKING and ACTING and *ETHICAL PRACTICES all joined together to achieve essentialities of good leadership. Sadly, these leadership principles are grossly lacking, in both Governor Hope Uzodinma and Senator Rochas Okorocha, considering their antecedents and present penchant to forment crises.

The former is still basking in the euphoria of unexpected electoral Bazar and the later, lacking in deep thinking andd  restraint, otherwise, why would he embark on such a suicidal mission, when he can take advantage of the judicial window to challenge the unilateral impunity of Governor Hope Uzodinma, who has chosen to be the arbiter in his own case.

It should be pointed out that such misdemeanor is  not part of executive duties of a governor, to accuse, prosecute, adjudicate and execute.
It's indeed, executive rascality and lawlessness, at it's best.

It  smacks of how not to be a leader, especially, at a time, a major city (ORLU), in IMO state, is under air and land  missile assaults by the Nigeria military.
An  exhilarating action, His Excellency,  Governor Hope Uzodinma, has owned up to and accepted  its authorization, whereas, Governors of  other geopolitical zones, have embraced negotiations and ransome payments, even to the recalcitrant kidnappers and other terrorist groups.

Let me make quick to say, that I condemn all manner of violence, banditry and criminality, no matter who is involved and I condemn same, in its entirety.
Our own Governor, is inviting the federal might, to shell and bomb the innocent people of ORLU,  including helpless and vulnerable women and Children on an unverifiable charges, of hosting members, of the Eastern Security Network (ESN). What a misnomer and gross display of mediocrity!

In the midst of this unprovoked, insensitive and condemnable outrage, on the people of ORLU,  the government of Hope Uzodinma, tactfully, wants to douse the humongous condemnation, that trails the unholy bombardment going on in ORLU and to divert attention, from this heinous criminality, he deployed the Rochas Okorocha debacle and naively, the bad tempered Senator Rochas Okorocha, fell for this cheap and undexterous political strategem,  which shows his political and intuitive hollowness,  as a politician.

This  peevish and contrived imbroglio, shows  the dearth of leadership and the mediocrity, of folks, who lay claims, to the leadership of Ndigbo.
I therefore, call on the leadership of OHANEZE NDIGBO IMEOBI, under the superintendence of Dr. George Obiozor, who incidentally, is from the same senatorial zone, with the two gladiators, to Wade into the matter, as a matter of urgency and stop the debilitating drift, into major public opprobrium.
I also call on other Patriotic and discerning IGBOS, like the elder statesman, the ebullient Prof. Ben. Nwabueze(SAN),  the Indefatigable Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe and other Patriots of Igbo extraction, to rise to the occasion and tame this monstrous and unprecedented show of shame, by these two personalities, who have lost all sense of decorum,  considering an ancient axiom that postulates, that even amongst  thieves, there is still honour.
The two personalities, have defiled this sacred postulation, in its entirety, as their reprehensible antics,  are inimical to the development of Imo state.
