Outpouring of outrage and disgust has greeted a billboard sited at a location in Enugu calling on popular Enugu based singers, Flavour and Phyno to leave the state as a result of their stance during the #EndSARS protest where the duo and other protesters called on the state governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to address issues of poor governance in the Enugu state.
A Lagos based public/political analyst from Enugu State, Engr Patrick Mba has expressed his disgust, describing the billboard as distasteful and antithetical to everything democracy stands for.
"This shameful & unacceptable BILLBOARD, dotting the street of Enugu & purportedly erected by one overzealous anarchist and apostle of doom, one (MRS) BIBIAN ANEKWE, is a shame & an affront to NDIENUGU & what we represent & should immediately be pulled down by Enugu state government, if they are not accomplice to this mudsling and Mussolino like antics.
Enugu state(042), is a proud home to all NDIGBO & indeed, every other Nigerian.
Giving a quit notice, to Mr PHYON and FLAVOUR, by a gullible & overzealous Mrs Bibian Ezekwe, is a dent to what Enugu state represents, which predates even the era of the colonial masters.
It's therefore, unacceptable, for this woman who tagged herself, an honourable or horrible, to have arbitrarily, issued quit notices on the two celebrities(PHYON & FLAVOUR), based on their coordination of the ongoing PROTEST against the brutality & criminalities, being perpetrated by the Nigeria police force.
It will not be out of place to insinuate that this woman, MRS BIBIAN ANEKWE, has been bought over by our oppressors, to scuttle the good works, our youths are doing to rebrand the Nigeria nation and I am of the opinion, that ENUGU STATE government, should distance themselves, from the unacceptable disposition of MRS BIBIAN ANEKWE, so as to avert frontal collusion with the youths of Nigeria.
Let it be reiterated that both FLAVOUR and PHYON, have distinguished themselves in their chosen endeavours and therefore, can be described as outstanding Nigerians and if there is any misunderstanding or misconception on their interface with Rt. Hon. Ugwuanyi, the spokesman of the governor, should issue a statement and not an interloper, in the person of Mrs, BIBIAN ANEKWE, a mere attention seeker.
It seems that Mrs BIBIAN ANEKWE is amongst the fifth columnists, that wants to scuttle the Nigerian youths intention, to reinvent Nigeria and we can only but say, she will not succeed.
Enugu state government, should therefore, rescind this arbitrary and fascist 'Leave Township' (QUIT NOTICE), issued to citizens, PHYON and FLAVOUR, because, as long as the FASCIST BILL BOARD, continue to dot the street of Enugu, the government cannot claim not to be part of it, as payment was made into their coffer for this purpose.
Enough of these irritations by people who cannot reason beyond their nose!
God bless Nigeria!
God bless Enugu state!!
God bless the Nigerian youths!!!.
